1990-1995: Project manager, Shell

1995-2000: Joined BBC as an IT project manager then appointed Head of Business Systems in News, deploying an electronic news production system used by 14,000 staff

2000-2006: BBC Head of Technology for News, helping to develop the Jupiter tapeless and desktop production system for TV news

2006-2009: Technology Controller, BBC Nations & Regions

2009: Appointed CIO of BBC with responsibility for strategic planning of IT infrastructure, information security and support for business systems and professional services teams
