Prior to editing CIO UK, Chillingworth held journalism and editing roles on technology, education and motorsport titles, and had a brief career as TV producer with Sky.

Mike Altendorf was the founder and CEO of digital consultancy and systems integrator Conchango. Conchango grew into a global consultancy built on helping companies to exploit the internet for business growth. Now an entrepreneur and investor, Altendorf is passionate about the role that technology can play in driving business growth and is also an active business and CIO mentor.

Digital expert Matt Ballantine is the former head of IT at brand marketer Imagination, and has also worked as an enterprise and solutions architect for the BBC.

Digital advisor Ian Cohen is the former CIO of JLT Group, Associated Newspapers, and also worked as CTO and Global IT Director for the Financial Times. Ian has been a regular in the CIO 100, and was described by the judge’s as one of the UK’s most transformational CIOs in both 2013 and 2014.

Ian Cox is an experienced CIO who has led and transformed IT functions, services and platforms across different industries. As a CIO, he featured in the CIO 100. Prior to becoming a CIO, he held management positions in a number of functions, including business development, operations and business change. Now working as a consultant, retained adviser and coach to boards and CxOs, he specialises in helping businesses create a vision and strategy for growth and driving transformation programmes.

Trevor is a highly experienced CIO and Board member in both quoted and private companies and over the last sixteen years led the IT functions at easyJet, Homeserve, The AA and the RAC through periods of substantial transformation, in each case being part of an executive board that averaged double digit percentage annual profit growth.

Former NHS IT Director Jerry Fishenden was involved in the Public Administration Select Committee investigation into UK government IT following the election of the coalition. He has also been National Technology Officer for Microsoft and House of Commons IT leader.

Ade McCormack is an author, market commentator and advisor on digital leadership. His focus is on helping organisations maximise the value obtained from their IT assets. He is an opinion columnist at the Financial Times, advising business leaders on IT issues.

Board director and experienced leader of technology enabled business change; Nickalls has a successful track record, in both the public and private sectors, delivering digital and IT solutions to meet business and consumer requirements. Currently a Non-Executive Director for the FCCA and UK tech firms, Nickalls was CEO of DirectGov.

Edward Qualtrough is the Online Editor of CIO UK. He meets regularly with CIOs and has a particular interest in covering digital strategy, culture, leadership, diversity and technology as a tool to drive organisational change. A former sports journalist, Edward previously covered cycling, tennis, cricket, rugby union, football and boxing for the Press Association.

Catherine Stagg-Macey has spent over 20 years in the technology and insurance sectors. She has experience in a wide range of roles from programmer and project manager to strategy advisor. In her last role at Celent, she established and led the European Insurance practice. Stagg-Macey now runs her own business offering leadership coaching, workshops and facilitation to the technology industry.

Dr Sykes spent 27 years with chemicals manufacturer ICI in various business management and leadership roles, six years of which were as ICI’s Group VP IT. Sykes has deep experience in the broad world of business-applied information technology, a strong interest in, and involvement in the arts.
