DSG is the parent company to a range of well known high street and out of town electronics retailers, including Currys, PC World and Dixons, which was the foundations of the company. Today DSG is a Europe wide retailer of electronic equipment such as TVs, music systems and computers.
A staff management system was implemented across its 640 UK stores, the Torex supplied system aims to ensure that staffing levels meet the demands of consumers. The system was rolled out across the DSG group having proved successful in the 160 PC World stores within the group.
In the last 12 months DSG undertook a cost cutting and business change programme, centred on IT. The project cut £75 million from operating costs at DSG, which has had a difficult recent past as electrical sales drop.
