Cranfield University is deploying a new HR and payroll system to help improve access to management information.

The university has chosen UNIT4's Agresso HR and payroll system that will be integrated into its existing Agresso Campus business platform. Cranfield said the addition will help streamline business processes across functions and provide improved access to management information.

“We will have the capability to link HR and payroll information to the finance, field force, projects and procurement parts of the Campus platform,” said Jo Catterill, HR strategic projects manager at Cranfield.

"The integrated platform lets us join up associated business processes across functions, and provides rapid visibility to information we need and the capability to react quickly to change.”

Catterill said the "flexibility" of Agresso meant Cranfield would be able to adapt the system internally in response to legislation changes without the cost of having to employ external technical consultants.

Cranfield has also recently gone live with Agresso e-Recruiter to efficiently hire new staff. The university also deployed a new ERP at the turn of the year.
