The industry leadership group is chaired by Graham Palmer, Intel UK and Ireland Country Manager and includes senior directors from the following companies:

  • Accenture
  • Dell
  • Deloitte
  • Fujitsu
  • HP
  • IBM
  • Intel

Commenting on his involvement in the leadership group, Palmer said:

Register for the CIO Energy Efficiency Summit

Wednesday 20th February 2008 @ 9:00am – Lunch, Mayfair Cavendish, London, W2 2EL

As the spotlight on energy efficiency falls with increased strength on the IT sector, estimated as second in carbon footprint only to the aviation industry, corporations increasingly need to have environmentally friendly IT.

The related economic benefits mean organisations will increasingly task CIOs with ‘Green’ or environmental targets. As brands battle for supremacy in increasingly competitive spaces, the damage to the bottom line that non-green efficient practices could cause is a threat that CIOs will have to tackle with increasing importance and urgency.

This is an excusive half-day event that will provide attendees with knowledge and experience on how to lower costs and ensure maximum carbon efficiency.

Listen to experts on Green IT, opening with an overview from one of the leading EMEA analysts in this field. Hear from leading CIO’s who have already made significant differences to their organisations’ carbon footprint. In addition, we will ensure every attendee’s presence at this event will be carbon offset.

This highly-interactive forum will provide the platform to discuss current and prospective energy efficiency initiatives. We offer attending senior executives the opportunity to build a network with likeminded colleagues to help face the challenges in the environmentally aware enterprise and explore the potential benefits together.

Working through Intellect “will have a greater community impact” than trying to spread the message alone, he added.
