Galileo, one of the largest global distribution systems in the travel industry is to use new product and planning management software to improve links with its travel agents.

Galileo will use Accept 360° from requirements management vendor Accept Software to define, prioritise and deliver new products to its network of over 44,000 travel agency customers worldwide.

"The travel distribution services industry is as diverse and as competitive as you can imagine,” said David Hughes, chief marketing officer of Galileo. "We have a clear strategy for product development which is based upon industry and customer understanding coupled with extensive requirements gathering and Accept 360° will help to streamline the process of gathering those requirements and factoring all of this information into our product management process.

"It will help us to analyse them in the context of specific markets, customers, and our overall business objectives as well as being key to the development and delivery of Galileo's current and future product strategies."
