CIO, together with two partners, is putting together a definitive analysis of how CIOs are dealing with the current economic slowdown. Two surveys on this site are gathering information on IT spending plans and attitudes to outsourcing as organisations face shrinking budgets.

Editor of CIO.co.uk Mark Chillingworth said, “This is an opportunity to share your thoughts with peers in the CIO and IT Director community. Your input will be highly valued and shared with the CIO readership to enable the community to base their judgements on the sound experience of their peers.”

CIO is soon to launch a Debate channel on the website. This will feature an insightful article from market analysts Macehiter Ward-Dutton, which is then debated online through the CIO.co.uk community.

Management consultants AT Kearney are sponsoring a second survey, on IT spending which is looking to gauge where CIOs are considering making cuts and where they are allocating budget.

Launching the CIO.co.uk Debate channel CIO and Macehiter Ward-Dutton have formulated a survey on spending and attitudes to outsourcing. The survey considers CIO outsourcing considerations by vertical market. From these results Macehiter Ward-Dutton will write a thought leading paper, which will then be circulated amongst a select group of CIOs whose responses will then be published alongside the paper on CIO.co.uk.

Your involvement is highly valued, and CIO certainly understands the time pressures you are all facing, but if you could spare a moment this Friday to complete the surveys we can create some valuable information to feed back to the CIO community.
