Orange joined O2 and Vodafone in announcing it will offer dedicated iPad 3G price plans for Apple's tablet device.

The three mobile operators issued almost similar press releases on the day that Apple announced that it was postponing the global launch of the iPad because of "surprisingly strong US demand".

O2 will offer price plans for UK customers. Orange will cover the UK, as well as France, Spain and Switzerland. Vodafone will also cater for Australia, Germany, Italy and Spain.

There was no breakdown of the tariffs, but Apple will reveal UK pricing, and hopefully 3G pricing plans on Monday, 10 May, having as recently as last week confirmed a late April release for the iPad.
