Oxford and Gartner CIO Academy heads to the Gulf

Heading East, study of the CIO role kicks off in Abu Dhabi

The CIO Academy, jointly developed by the University of Oxford Said Business School and the Gartner Executive Programme, is heading to the Middle East. The programme will run from the 27th to 29th of September in Abu Dhabi.

The CIO Academy is a management programme that focuses on how CIOs can extract the maximum from technology for their organisations. It looks at the strategic management of technology and delivering a return on investment and value to the company.

"CIO Academy delivers the ability to fully understand the demands of the executive board on IT, demonstrate the value IT creates, and lead IT divisions to success," said Roger Kemp, group vice president of Gartner.

His Excellency Rashed Al Mansoori, chairman of Abu Dhabi Systems and Information Centre (ADSIC) will be a special guest speaker on the programme. ADSIC is the governmental body responsible for delivering the UAE's e-government platform.

CIOs interested in taking part should visit gartner.com/cioacademy or email dawn.gudelis@gartner.com.
