HSBC has renewed its IT services deal with Capgemini for a further two years.
The deal, for an undisclosed amount, covers IT setup at HSBC, delivered to all parts of the bank by its Technology Services operation.
Capgemini has worked with HSBC for 17 years, providing IT services to consumer lending, credit cards, consumer finance and insurance operations.
It will continue to support legacy systems and online software, as HSBC moves to launch products more quickly, improve customer service, meet compliance rules, and open for business in new markets.

John Carr, chief operating officer at HSBC Technology Services, said the deal would result in “amplified productivity, predictability and speed”.
In March, HSBC said IT remained vital to its business, as its profits rose.
