BT has revealed it will be rolling out its super-fast fibre broadband to a further 303 exchanges across the UK between Autumn 2010 and Summer 2011.
Tunbridge Wells in Kent and Guildford in Surrey, along with areas of London, the West Midlands, Yorkshire and East of England, are among the locations named by BT as the next to be connected to the super-fast fibre network.
BT said this was the latest chapter in its plan to make super-fast fibre-based broadband available to at least 40 percent of the UK (10 million homes) by summer 2012.
The fibre network will be made available to other ISPs on a wholesale basis to allow them to offer super-fast internet connections to consumers.
The ISP also said that by the end of this year four million homes will have been connected to its fibre network.
In December last year, BT revealed it was ahead of schedule on the roll out, which was originally expected to be completed in 2013.
