Deloitte books ex-Carphone Warehouse CIO

Matt Peers moves to Deloitte after long career stint at retailer

Business advisory firm Deloitte has appointed the former CIO of Carphone Warehouse as its CIO. Matt Peers joins the London based company as CIO for its new Internal Client Services division.

Peers will have a team of 280 IT professionals working for him at Deloitte.

David Gill, Head of Internal Services at Deloitte said in a statement: "Matt's experience of leading large teams of IT professionals through periods of rapid change will prove invaluable in realising Deloitte's exciting new IT strategy."

Peers has been with Carphone Warehouse since 2000 having joined the retailer from telecoms giant Cable & Wireless.

Joining Deloitte is a return to professional services for Peers, his career began at Arthur Anderson and the CIO is a qualified accountant.

Deloitte clients include Thomson Reuters, the global business, scientific and legal information provider.
