The Telegraph newspaper’s technical team is currently investigating an outage that has brought down its website, Telegraph.co.uk.
The problem, which was reported by Twitter users as being down for over an hour so far, has led to the website’s ‘404 error page’ appearing to users when trying to access the site.
A member of the Telegraph’s customer services team said: “Our technical team are looking into it at the moment. Try refreshing every 10 minutes.”
It is not known what is the cause of the technical issue, but according to a Telegraph.co.uk’s web systems administrator’s profile on LinkedIn, the website runs on VMware infrastructure and a mixture of Solaris 10 and Ubuntu operating systems.
In addition, a Telegraph developer’s profile on LinkedIn reveals that the newspaper uses the Escenic content management system (CMS).
