On Wednesday and Thursday we held "ICT Away Days" to bring staff (half each day) from the ICT Service up to date with strategy, new developments and the issues that confront us next year.

The ICT Staff Council helped me organise the agenda, venue and administration for the events, which were held on the "Tereza Joanne", moored in the King George V Dock. Thanks, particularly, to Joye. At the end of the day, there were visits to Building 1000 for those who hadn't yet been there. I was among those visiting for the first time, and was as excited as anyone at the opportunities now open to us.

The chief executive was guest speaker on both days. His talk on Building 1000 as a "Burning Platform" and the Star Chamber process was very well received, and I am grateful for his support.
