Tuesday

SOCITM's PUG (Planning and Urgency Group) met from 10am at the Friends Meeting House in Euston. Prior to that the President's Team met to consider the services review progress and, particularly, the Corporate Services Review.

It framed proposals for the approval of September's National Council, which were subsequently approved by the PUG meeting. Other items on the PUG agenda included agreement of the strategic drivers for SOCITM's 2008 work programme. After a lot of debate the high level themes were agreed as Social Computing, Efficiency, Professionalism and Technology.

In the afternoon I met with other colleagues and representatives of LOCOG (the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games) at their Canary Wharf offices to discuss potential synergies with the Newham infrastructure project and the infrastructure that will be required during the Games.
