Sunday

I flew from Heathrow to Seattle for the Microsoft Strategic Architects' Forum (SAF) at its Executive Business Centre (EBC) in Redmond.

The annual SAF is supposed to target the top 250 Microsoft Architects worldwide. Over 60% of attendees are from outside the US. I am a member of Microsoft's UK Architects' Council, which provided most of the UK contingent of 13 attendees, and the only representative of the public sector.

I had obtained a battery extender for my notebook PC, so I could work on the plane, and was impressed when, after 4 hours continuous work, the remaining battery life was still over 50%. Advances in battery technology, like most technologies, never cease to amaze.
