Like our readers we like to keep looking for ways to improve our product and make our users lives easier.

For the new decade we've had the tech guys busy in the CIO back shed developing some improvements to the website, which I hope you fund useful and make it even easier to find the news, opinion, analysis and personality profiles you need.

A new search engine has improved search results no end. And I don't just say this as the Editor because I've got a site to sell, I say it because it is one of the tools of the site I use again and again throughout the day and know the new search engine is light years ahead of our previous tool.

The CIO editorial team attends and hosts a number of CIO events throughout the year and many of you are happy to share your conference presentations with your peers in the CIO community. Therefore, for 2010 we've set out to make sure that our new slideshow gallery keeps growing. We plan to publish at least one slideshow a week. If you are CIO with some interesting views to share and a PowerPoint presentation just waiting to be shared with your peers, do contact me. And take a look at the presentations from your peers at the Slideshow channel.

We also have two new bloggers in the shape of IT security expert Rik Fergusen and Open Source computing expert Steve Shine.  Both have contributed to CIO in recent months and have joined the title as regular contributors so look out for their articles in both the CIO Opinion Channel and the Blogs channel.

Rik's blog can be found here, and Steve's here.

For those of you already at the bleeding edge of the technology curve and packing a tablet device before the over hyped Apple Tablet arrives you can read the magazine as a Digital Edition by registering for it here.

Lastly we will be launching a new technology guidance newsletter this year and researching the possibility of further launches as the year goes on.  If you have any suggestions we always welcome your feedback.
