CIO Summit 2010 part 4: Stuart Birrell; David Wilde

In September 2010, CIO held its inaugural summit in London, attended by around 80 CIOs and other IT leaders.

Mid-morning, the audience returned from a coffee break to watch presentations around technology trends facing CIOs at the moment.

Gatwick Airport CIO Stuart Birrell has an almost clean slate as he builds up the airports IT systems following its split from former parent BAA.

Providing a public sector perspective is David Wilde, CIO of Westminster City Council, whose presentation begins 27 minutes 20 seconds into the video. Looking to the future, Wilde discusses how the adoption of certain technologies is going to impact on the changing role, and even the continued existence, of the CIO.
