Martin Veitch, Editor in Chief, CIO Magazine UK
Martin started his IT journalism career at PC Week in 1990 and joined Ziff-Davis UK in 1992 to help launch PC Direct, rising to become Deputy Editor. In 1996 Martin set up ZDNet News, an early web-based service. After joining IT Week as Executive News Editor in 1998, he was appointed Editor in May 1999 and Executive Editor in 2001. His other published work includes appearances in The Wall Street Journal Europe, BBC News Online, The Guardian and CFO magazine.

Hugh Jenkins, Product Business Manager, Dell EMEA Centre of Competence
Joining Dell in February 2005, Hugh is responsible for managing the strategic planning of Dell’s server business across EMEA. This incorporates Dell's PowerEdge server line, Dell OpenManage management software, Dell Blade server line and associated products. In his career with Dell, Hugh has also held positions in UK Enterprise Management and Public Sector EMEA Enterprise Product roles. Hugh has considerable experience of working in the x86 enterprise server market, having been involved from its inception in the late 80's. Prior to joining Dell, Hugh has held numerous product management positions with Compaq and Hewlett Packard in both the UK and the U.S.

Douglas Phillips, Senior Product Marketing Manager, Application & Infrastructure Management, EMEA
Douglas Philips joined VMware in 2006, following its acquisition of Akimbi Systems. As senior product marketing manager for EMEA, Douglas works in close liaison with VMware’s product management and development teams in the US as well as liaising with customers and defining product introduction strategy in EMEA primarily focusing on our Application and Infrastructure Management products.

Prior to joining VMware, Douglas was director of operations at Akimbi Systems a software development company, which developed the underlying technology now found in VMware Lab Manager.

Steve Shakespeare, Director, EMEA Enterprise Solution Services

Steve Shakespeare is accountable for business development and sales of Intel based IT solutions to business customers across EMEA. Steve is also responsible for the organization that works with partners across EMEA to develop enterprise solution offerings based on Intel technology including Centrino, vPro and Xeon.

With nineteen years experience in the IT and IT sales and marketing industry backed up by an honours degree in electronic engineering, Steve is an expert on trends and developments in the IT industry. Steve has a broad range of skills having previously run the UK Enterprise sales business, Consumer Sales business and Local OEM business amongst other roles.

Steve is married with two children and enjoys challenging himself with occasional running, cycling and triathlon events on weekends.
