A 2016 survey revealed a small CIO salary increase from last year, with CIOs on average earning $206,849 compared to $199,512 in 2015. Furthermore, those with the CIO title on average were compensated more than those with a CTO, IT director, VP technology and Chief Digital Officer job title.
