Yves Baguet, the chief information officer (CIO) of Clearstream, the post-trade services provider of Deutsche Börse Group, is leaving the company after 19 years.

Baguet, who was also chief technology officer (CTO) of Deutsche since February 2013, is departing on “amicable terms” on 15 October to “pursue new challenges” the company said last week.

His CIO responsibilities will be taken over by Richard Green, who is currently running one of Clearstream’s application development departments. Green will also take over the CTO role on an interim basis.

Hauke Stars, CIO of Deutsche Börse Group, said: “Yves Baguet decided to leave the company upon reaching another milestone in his career - the first phase of the design of the future IT landscape of Deutsche Börse Group.

“I would like to thank him for two decades of outstanding contribution to Clearstream and Deutsche Börse Group IT.”

Baguet joined Clearstream in 1994, where he held various IT management positions. He became CIO of the business in 2000, in charge of IT development, IT operations, the IT infrastructure and IT sales across all global Clearstream locations.

He was involved in a number of significant IT projects at a group level as well, for example, contributing to the technical integration work involved when Clearstream was created through the merger of Cedel International and Deutsche Börse Clearing in 2000, followed by the integration of Clearstream into Deutsche Börse Group.

Meanwhile, Green joined Clearstream in 1999 from NatWest Investments. He is currently head of cash infrastructure and added value applications at ClearStream, and leads the IT teams for collateral management and investment funds.
