Helen Brittain has been living up to her Director of Technology and Change title at casino and resort operator Genting UK, focusing her team on a mass of initiatives, apps and developments.

A hyper-converged infrastructure was implemented to support the e-gaming and casino technologies, the UK data centre was relocated, application support and development was insourced, a new finance system was deployed, and real-time alerts were introduced for casino management and customers of key business processes.

The websites and mobile apps for the casinos and Resorts World Birmingham were redesigned, in-casino customer WiFi was installed, new game suppliers were integrated onto the online gaming platform, and dual-play roulette has been made available live on mobile and web from a number of land-based casinos.

Workforce management was also rolled out to staff for rota and time-off visibility, online spa and hotel booking was introduced, and the VIP marketing teams were given sales lead automation.
