The multi-protocol label switching network (MPLS) will help improve business application performance, support unified communications and enable a new cloud strategy, said Belron.
Mike Parkington, IT vendor and procurement manager at Belron, said: “Secure and monitored applications, systems and processes, and the ability to take advantage of cloud computing are at the core of our business, and Easynet has proved the perfect business partner."
Easynet recently questioned 800 CIOs and IT decision makers across Europe, and found that whilst organisations saw the benefits of the cloud, their corporate networks were not being considered as part of their cloud computing strategies.
Of those questioned 43 percent said their enterprise networks would need to be upgraded for the cloud, but only 20 percent said this was a key part of their strategy. An MPLS network is designed to increase reliability and support strong service level agreements.
While Belron is moving to ensure application performance, a recent study found that three-quarters of European data centre managers do not feel they are achieving required performance levels, in a situation worsened by inadequate technology budgets.
