Gloucester Engineering is deploying a cloud-based ERP system to cut costs and add scalability .
The company will implement Infor’s ERP SyteLine Software. It said it intended to use the software-as-a-service subscription model to benefit from scalability and cost advantages.
ERP SyteLine will allow Gloucester to manage its business processes, CRM, sales, financials, mixed mode manufacturing and other operations. The cloud-based software offers the same functionality available in SyteLine’s on-premise software.
Founded in 1961, the company provides systems for the plastics extrusion and converting market. Applications include bag making, foam and sheet extrusion, blown and cast film extrusion and extrusion coating.
Adrian King, vice president of finance at Gloucester Engineering, said: “SyteLine gives us the scalability to support future growth without forcing us to increase our IT and administrative costs.
"Having data in the cloud enables us to focus on our core business and leave system and hardware administration and backup to Infor.”
Copley Consulting Group helped Gloucester choose ERP SyteLine, that will enable Gloucester’s four business units to function within a single ERP system.
Company salesforce users in the field will be able to use the cloud for instant database access, without having to be at an office site.
