Damart, the thermal underwear and clothing manufacturer, is implementing new financial software systems across its European operations.
The company wants to update and standardise the general ledger, procurement, invoicing, reporting and analytical functions of it finance and accounting systems, according to the specific manufacturing, logistics and distribution process requirements of its European growth.
The Damart group has over 70 stores in France and 140 in Europe across markets including the UK, Belgium and Switzerland. With more than 10 million regular customers (including over 1 million in the UK), Damart has a sales turnover of €557 million (£378.3m) and employs 3,200 staff (including 650 in the UK).
The new financials software contract with finance systems specialist, CODA www.coda.com covers CODA-Financials for general ledger accounting, CODA-XL for analysing and reporting financial data, and CODA-Procurement and CODA-Invoicing applications.
Bruno Defache, director of accounting at Damart said: “CODA-Financials is functionally rich and can meet our specific requirements such as cost accounting so we are confident we have chosen the right solution.
“The CODA team was highly professional which is important to us as we undertake a project of this scale. We have confidence that they will work closely with our teams internally to help us manage the change process resulting from this project.”
