Steve Jobs will take to the stage later this month with News Corp boss Rupert Murdoch to help unveil The Daily, an iPad-only digital 'newspaper', it has been claimed.
According to Yahoo's news blog, The Cutline, Jobs and Murdoch will unveil The Daily in San Francisco's Museum of Modern Art at some stage next week.
The launch date is still uncertain - Macworld reported last month that The Daily might launch on 17 January, The Cutline report suggests that it will be 19 January, though this could change.
Both Apple and News Corp have kept tight-lipped about The Daily, though a number of rumours circulating in the past month suggested that Apple CEO Jobs has taken a personal interest in the project.
The Daily is expected initially to focus on the US and will have editorial bases in New York and Los Angeles. The app will be updated once a day in the morning and is likely to cost 99 cents (around 64p) per week.
