RSA, formerly known as Royal & SunAlliance, has extended a business process outsourcing deal with Accenture.
The contract, which originally began in 2003, will be extended for two years beyond the original end date, now finishing in 2012, RSA said.
It covers front-line customer service processes, as well as back office administration services for the RSA sales, service, claims and customer accounting functions. It will also support processes involving interaction with brokers.
Bill Taylor, chief operating officer of sales and service at RSA, said the move would offer continued “cost reductions” and “high service levels”.
RSA, which has 22,000 employees, also has a 10-year IT services agreement with IBM - to manage its IT infrastructure and provide end-to-end service integration across 40 third-party technology suppliers - which it renewed in 2007.
