Thomas Cook has extended a business process outsourcing deal with Accenture by 10 years, paying £130m for the privilege.
The contract covers application, network and infrastructure management, finance, accounting and human resources services at the tour operator, which has 33,000 employees.
A five-year deal was originally signed in 2002 by MyTravel, with which Thomas Cook merged in June.
Accenture will provide management services for Thomas Cook's back office systems, including its SAP-based enterprise resource planning software.
Within human resources, the service provider will support administration and payroll for Thomas Cook's UK employees.
