I was supposed to attend a Community of Interest Working Group at the DCLG but decided to duck-out so I could concentrate on final touches to my Star Chamber report, and an addendum saying the things I wanted to, but which the report pro-forma didn't seem to give scope for.

I also sent some policy documents to our Corporate Risk Manager, which had been requested for the next meeting of the Council's Risk Management and Emergency Planning Group, whereupon my security officer alerted me to the fact that I appeared to have overlooked the draft Internet Acceptable Usage policy that she previously sent me.

In the afternoon I had a very enjoyable discussion with consultants from Navigant, who were commissioned to interview a number of service heads for a review of the council's approach to procurement and partnerships.

For the first time in a while, I ended the week with no e-mail backlog, and feeling relatively on top of things!
