Some 442 CIOs in or from the UK will receive the CIO 100 questionnaire today. Below is my letter to the UK business technology community that has expressed an interest in taking part in the CIO 100, which as the letter says “showcases business technology leaders from or in the UK that set and lead the transformation agenda in their organisations”. The questionnaire aims to showcase the transformational abilities of CIOs, gauge the importance of the EU for technology leadership, the cyber-security threat organisations face and the vendors CIOs are placing strategic deals with.
As the Editor in Chief of CIO UK magazine and the UK’s CIO 100 I would like to invite you to take part in the 2015 CIO 100. This will be the fourth year the CIO 100 has showcased business technology leaders from or in the UK that set and lead the transformation agenda in their organisations.
The CIO 100 questionnaire is an opportunity to demonstrate your role in delivering major change to the operations, culture, products, services and use of technology in your organisation. The final listing of the 100 most transformative business technology leaders is compiled by an expert panel of former CIOs, CEOs and business commentators who support the CIO UK publication and fully embrace our editorial vision to champion the role of the CIO as a leader of change in organisations.
You must complete the questionnaire by Monday January 12, 2015 to be considered for the CIO 100.
The 2015 CIO 100 will be published on April 23, 2015 at a reception in central London. This event has become one of the premier exclusive networking opportunities for CIOs in and from the UK. The 2015 CIO 100 website featuring the 100 leading transformative CIOs will go live on the same day.
All questionnaires CIO UK receives, whether selected for the CIO 100 or not, will be followed up on for consideration as editorial articles to demonstrate the wide variety of outcomes the UK's business technology leaders have achieved in the last year.
I hope you will take part in this opportunity and find it a positive opportunity for you, your team, organisation and the CIO community.
Thank you for your time and support for CIO UK, the team and I look forward to reading your submission.
Again, the questionnaire deadline is Monday January 12, 2015.
Mark Chillingworth, CIO Editor in Chief
